Abba Beef is a newly constructed medium throughput cattle processing abattoir based in Serowe along the Palapye-Serowe road. The main purpose of the Job:
Reporting to General Manager, the Officer shall be responsible for the sales and marketing of meat
products of an abattoir and managing a broad portfolio of accounts within local and regional markets and delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs. Also, in charge of maintaining a strong sales pipeline through relationship building, account management, and lead generation.
Key Performance Areas:
⦁ Manages a diverse portfolio of accounts (both local and regional) and develops account plans and sales forecasts in liaison with production planning and livestock procurement to enhance customer needs and general market conditions.
⦁ Generates sales to achieve the company’s sales target and maintains sales records.
⦁ Market/product segmentation and servicing the best-paying markets.
⦁ Generates new business and/or identifies new opportunities.
⦁ Maintains an intimate knowledge of customers’ business and gains an understanding of their requirements to satisfy their end needs.
⦁ Ensures that products and services are delivered to customers on time and with the correct specification.
⦁ Provides customer satisfaction surveys attends to after-sales queries and resolves customer complaints.
⦁ Contributes to new product development, product pricing, promotion, and distribution.
⦁ Acts as the key interface between the customer and all other relevant abattoir divisions.
⦁ Leads in product and company branding.
⦁ Ensuring compliance with abattoir and Industry Standards
Competencies:
⦁ Key selling skills and ability to sufficiently understand customer accounts and develop products and services.
⦁ Customer/FMCG industry understanding and articulation skills.
⦁ Account management
⦁ Understanding of market dynamics.
⦁ Customer relationship management and product segmentation

⦁ Proficiency in Microsoft Office package.

Qualification:
⦁ Degree in a relevant functional discipline e.g., Business, Commercial, Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
Experience:
1. At least (5) five years of extensive experience in a role and context of similar complexity
