Sales and Distribution Officer – Botswana Vaccine Institute

Summary

Reporting to the Sales and Distribution Manager, the position will be responsible for selling all BVI products, process sales and shipping documents in accordance with laid down procedures and instructions  to ensure fast and efficient completion of orders for local and export customers.

Description

The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:

• Sales orders processing and following up timeously and accurately.
• Preparing export documents which include invoices, veterinary certificates, customer documents and ensuring that all shipping instructions have been complied with.
• Investigating and implementing the most cost effective transportation of shipment.
• Monitoring and keeping abreast with changes in import/export laws and ensuring BVI keeps in compliance of such.
• Recording and ensuring resolution of all customer complaints.
• Conducting annual customer survey and reporting.
• Providing marketing materials to customers.
• Coordinating public relations activities and direct publicity programs.
• Providing monthly reports on sales achievements and pipeline including lead conversion rate, market & competitor activities, current and planned customer activities.

Minimum Requirements

The right candidate will possess the following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Business Management or relevant field.
• A postgraduate qualification in logistics management would be an added advantage.
• At least three (3) years’ experience as a sales and distribution officer in a pharmaceutical business will be an added advantage.
