Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to provide security services during the day. Maintains a record of Government movable property taken in and out of the premises to prevent theft of Government property. Search and records every vehicle coming in and going out of Government premises. Records in the diary all suspicious occurrences to assist in cases of theft and Burglary. Hoists the national Flag and lowers it at designated times. Checks all fences and enclosures for possible unauthorized access and ensures that the entire fencing is in a good state and reports any defects to the supervisor. Reports all cases of theft to the supervising officer and helps police with investigations. Checks that no private property is kept/brought to/within Government premises without prior authority. Ensures that all in-coming and out-going stores are checked against vouchers and invoices. Maintains gate register for visitors.
