PRIME SEED CO VACANCY – REGIONAL SALES OFFICER

(RSO) – CCU MARKETS

The Role

As a member of the organisation, the regional sales officer’s role is to coordinate and manage regional sales activities so as to achieve or exceed sales budget annually. The RSO will have primary day to day responsibility for planning, implementing and controlling the sales and agronomy activities of Prime

Seed Co Vegetables and chemicals business in Botswana and Swaziland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Craft a quarterly area operational sales and marketing plan that helps to meet the company’s goals within the framework of the marketing strategy.
  • Identifying priority customers, formulating customer sales, plans and implementing strategies in a weekly and monthly basis.
  • The promotion and distribution of products through advertising and store promotions.
  • Registration of priority products in Botswana and the region.
  • Sales and Marketing of Pesticides and technical backup for farmers.
  • Implement, manage and ensuring that the Organizations Quality standards are maintained.
  • Health and Safety Officer and Technical Representative.
  • Significant knowledge of regional seed organization like, CIMMYT and WEMA is an added advantage.

Key Requirements

  • Honors Degree in Agriculture or Applied Sciences.
  • A minimum of 10 years post qualification and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of agriculture and quality assurance in regional African markets.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task: Can work within an ambitious, fast moving environment while also driving towards clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
