SENIOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – ASIAN MARKETS

REPORTS TO
Head of Corporate
JOB PURPOSE
Executing strategy for Corporate Banking clients in the market and region, with the intervention of various critical stakeholders to ensure Balance Sheet and profitability growth through Client Acquisition and Retention.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Manage a portfolio of clients, proactively seeking solutions to their financial needs, establishing good relationships, and thereby growing the portfolio.
•Fully understand the Bank’s AML/CTF policy and implement this across the portfolio to make sure the Bank is not exposed to undue money laundering risk. This is needed on both accounts opening stage as well as during the management of the life cycle of the account with the Bank.
•Maintain and develop a client and prospect data base.
•Cross-sell the Bank’s product range to each client to the maximum of the client’s needs. Identify gaps in product range and assist in developing and enhancing products on a continued basis. Exhibit high levels of client satisfaction.
•Identification and acquisition of new businesses via good business network and regular contact with key business introducers.
•Make pricing decisions on every deal and every group of clients to make sure the relationship is profitable to the Bank, while balancing this with market dynamics and client acceptance.
•Ensure client confidentiality and professionalism to maintain and increase the Bank’s image and brand.
•Maintain a healthy portfolio, while minimizing risk by ensuring that all the issues within the portfolio
are maintained and adhere to the Bank’s policies.
The Relationship Manager oversees and makes sure covenants are managed.
•Robust account monitoring strategy and process to safeguard both the Bank and client’s interests.
•Manage the Relationship Manager Assistant as per the HR guidelines and policies and make sure the individual has accurate and measurable KPI’s and a signed off PD in place.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

•Degree in Accounting, Banking, Finance or related business field. An MBA will be an added advantage.
•At least 10 years of experience in a relationship management role within banking or related environment.
•Proficiency in English, Hindi, Sindhi, and Gujarati.
•Business development.
•Relationship and Portfolio Management.
