Job Summary

Main Purpose of the Role
The Regional Head, Physical Channels plays a pivotal role in strategically overseeing and optimizing the performance of physical distribution channels within a designated region. The main purpose is to ensure strategic alignment, efficient operations, drive business growth, and enhance customer experience and build a positive colleague community that achieves desired results through the strategic management of physical channels such as branches, retail outlets, and other distribution points. The primary objective is to align the physical banking infrastructure with evolving industry trends and technological advancements, ensuring a seamless and modern customer experience and a keen understanding of channel management strategy. The Regional Head of Physical Channels will play a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s physical distribution strategy, ensuring it aligns with the future of banking. By leveraging technology and successfully aligning the physical channels infrastructure to the overall Retail Bank Strategy, this role aims to provide customers with a seamless, efficient, and modern banking experience through a motivated and positive workforce

 

Job Description

Qualification

Commercial Degree as a minimum entry – Business Management, Commerce, accounting, Finance data and analytics etc.​ Masters degree or related further study an advantage.

 

Experience

10 years’ experience in banking or related field, 6 of which should be in managerial role.

  • Experience in strategy execution an advantage.​
  • Understanding of market trends, customer trends, CLM, regulatory and risk environment key.​
  • Process/ data/ automation/ project management.
  • Strategic planning and execution, including financial analysis, budgeting.
  • Strong Financial and Business Acumen with expert knowledge on Retail Physical channels, Distribution, people leadership, sales  and analytics
  • Ability to do data driven client tactical delivery plans based o use of CRM systems with an understanding of data analytics to review customer behavior, transaction trends, and regional performance.​
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship being accountable for the delivery of a culture of continuous franchise led innovation and creativity across Retail physical channels franchise. ​
  • Critical thinking and analysis to enable new approaches as the business seeks to transform its focus, based on market analysis and competitive intelligence.
  • Ability to plan around risks and mitigation plans with in-depth knowledge of Risk Management, compliance and regulatory Principles and tools.
  • Collaborative, coaching and development led leadership, focused on culture and achieving the retail people strategy objectives.  ​
  • Customer centric leadership to that is focused on creating regional tactical customer plans that meet required objectives o primacy, CX scores and PPC.
  • Adaptability and resilience to lead an increasingly complex and challenging retail banking environment.
