Main Purpose of the Role
The Head of Bancassurance & Wealth plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the strategic vision for integrating bancassurance and wealth management services within the banking environment. The purpose is to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen the bank’s position as a comprehensive financial solutions provider. The Head of Bancassurance & Wealth will play a crucial role in shaping the bank’s future by ensuring the seamless integration of financial services, enhancing customer satisfaction, building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth in a dynamic banking environment. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong management skills, critical thinking and analysis skills, well-honed decision-making skills, ability to foster collaboration and a strategic mindset to envision and implement integrated financial solutions.

Qualification

Commercial Degree as a minimum entry: Business Management, Commerce, Accounting, Finance. MBA preferred. Certification in Insurance and Wealth Management is a must.

 

Experience

8-10 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a focus on both life and short-term insurance within bancassurance. Proven track record of successfully leading teams in bancassurance and achieving business growth targets. Experience in managing life insurance and short-term insurance products throughout their lifecycle. In-depth knowledge of regulations governing both life and short-term insurance products.

  • Insurance Expertise –In depth knowledge of insurance products, regulations, understanding of underwriting risk assessment and claims. ​
  • Banking Knowledge, including understanding of bancassurance integration strategies​
  • Underwriting management​
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment and knowledge of insurance and banking regulatory frameworks​
  • Deep knowledge of banking and understanding bancassurance and wealth management integration strategies.​
  • Financial Planning and proficiency​
  • Data Analytics and ability to leverage data for informed decision making and use of analytics tools for customer insights and strategy.
  • Exceptional Leadership skills – being the ability to lead and inspire a diverse teams, strategic thinking and planning and decision making and problem solving.​
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to various stakeholders.​
  • Change management skills, including adaptability and flexibility to navigate change, ad proven ability to drive and manage organizational change. ​
  • Strategic mindset to envision and implement integrated financial solutions​.
  • Strong Relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders buttressed by a client focused approach Adaptability and resilience to lead an increasingly complex and challenging retail banking environment.​

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
