Purpose of the Role

  • To perform Project Administration in a complex and multi-project environment.
  • To integrate Project Administration into project controls in complex projects, i.e., integrate project administration with estimating, project cost analysis, planning, and document control.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Performs the following;

a. Planning, setting-up, and managing of Project Administration as part of the project controls system;

b. Project Administration-related interfacing regarding project change requests.

c. Administration of project governance.

d. Project Administration, including project workshop and meeting arrangements, taking and distributing of minutes of meetings, etc.

e. The provision of logistical and administrative support to the project team. f. The integration of Project Administration with document control, e.g., document repository, archiving, configuration management, etc.

2. Monitor the effectiveness of Project Administration standards and procedures, and advise the Project Controls Manager about necessary changes to ensure continuous improvement.

3. Manages controls allocated funds and operates within set parameters.

4. Implements knowledge management principles through application of tools and methodologies to continuously improve and sustain business performance.

5. Initiates and implements creative and innovative ideas to continuously improve sustain business performance.

6. Manages the key effectiveness areas of subordinates by setting, monitoring and reviewing performance and taking remedial action as necessary.

7. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of business objectives.

8. Coordinates the safety, health and environmental program in area of responsibility.

Education

  • Diploma in Project Management will be an added advantage
  • Added Advantage: Bachelors Degree in Project Management will be an added advantage or Project Management Qualification – ideally PMP or similar certification.
