Job Description

he successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Acquiring goods and services on behalf of the company
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and maintain relationships with existing ones.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous purchases.
  • Collaborate with various departments to determine their procurement needs.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans.
  • Monitor and control procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Stay informed about market trends, new products, and potential suppliers.
  • Create and process purchase orders and contracts.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Control stock levels.
  • Coordinate the inventory count and reporting process.
  • General stock management.

 

The prospective candidate must possess the following attributes.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (a relevant certification may be accepted).
  • Pursuing professional qualification in Supply chain management and stock control (CIPS level 4 and above)
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
  • Hands on experience in one of the reputed ERP or Accounting or stock management application
  • Good knowledge in MS Office applications specially MS Excel
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
