Job Description
The Ministry of Justice seeks to recruit highly motivated and well experienced self-driven citizens of Botswana to fill the following vacant positions.
Position: Member of Land Tribunal Vacancy Circular No. 3 of 2024 Tenable: Department of Land Tribunal
Salary: D2 (320 952- 353 928) per annum
Terms of Employment:
Temporary Employment.
Duration: Twelve (12) months.
Benefits:
• 30 Working days per annum

Qualification:
Degree in Land/Environment related fields
Experience:
Ten (10) years working experience in Land use in Planning and/or Land related field. Familiarity with Botswana Land Tenure Systems. Tribal Land Act,Town and Country Planning Act and other Land related Acts, Land Management and Development Structures, Basic Principles of Law and Customary Laws of Botswana.
Main Purpose of the Job
• To Adjudicate on Land Appeals brought before the Land Tribunal.
Duties
• Addresses stakeholders on the role of the Land Tribunal
• Delivery of Judgements and Rulings
• Adjudicates on Land Appeals
• Delivers written judgements in open court
• Review of Judicial matters/issues referred to Judicial Committee
• Convene Quarterly inter-tribunal meetings.
• Formulation of Land Tribunal Procedures and Code of Conduct
