Manager – Strategy and Excellence
Employer: Botswana Fibre Networks (BOFINET)
Reporting to: Chief Transformation Officer
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Fostering a culture that drives efforts for continuous business, process improvement and organisational excellence supported by innovative use of technology in collaboration with the IT division and smooth transition strategy and process.
- Leading and overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of the organisation’s strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Planning, organising and coordinating the functions of information, knowledge and records management.
Key Performance Areas
Strategic Planning and Implementation
- Lead the strategic planning process, collaborating with senior management to define organizational goals, priorities and performance measures.
- Develop frameworks for cascading the strategic plan across departments, ensuring development of departmental plans and objectives for alignment.
- Guide the monitoring and evaluation of progress on strategic initiatives, preparing regular reports for senior management and recommending adjustments.
Knowledge Management and Records Management
- Maintain oversight over the development and maintenance of an effective knowledge management framework.
- Ensure efficient archiving, retrieval and disposal processes to maintain an organized and accessible records system.
- Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the organization.
Business Process Improvement
- Lead efforts to analyse, document and improve business processes across the organization to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Oversee the identification of process inefficiencies and implementation of improvement strategies, including automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of process improvements with organizational goals, regulatory standards and service delivery standards.
Day-to-Day Management
- Develop and implement departmental planning and budgeting processes.
- Monitor the success of plans in achieving the department’s goals and objectives, and periodically report on achievements and propose changes for improvement.
- Implement audit recommendations in a timely manner to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Operations Management or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Operations Management or a related field from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
- Professional Certification in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Operations Management or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least nine (9) years post-qualification experience specific to the job, of which three (3) years should have been at Manager level.
