LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER

JOB ADVERT: LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER

LOCATION: CIB HEAD OFFICE, GABORONE

PURPOSE OF JOB

Accountable to the Legal Compliance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the department’s strategy. Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements around issues relating to Anti-Money Laundering/Countering Financing of Terrorism. Assistance in the Quality Control and Assurance of all organizational policies, processes, and procedures of CIB. To assist with administration of the legal expenses product and offer in-house support thereto.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB);
  • Admitted to practice law in the Courts of Botswana;
  • At least 3 years post graduate experience;
  • Qualification and experience in compliance (especially AML) would be an added advantage as well a combination of work experience in both private practice and corporate environment.
