CHIBANDA, MAKGALEMELE AND CO MPANY Has a Vacancy for a Senior Attorney.
We are looking for a Senior Attorney based in Gaborone and with 10 years experience to join our firm. The successful applicant will have demonstrable skills and competency, which they will utilize as they will be seconded to our Commercial and Civil Litigation, Banking, Family Law, Corporate, Intellectual Property and Mergers and Acquisitions Departments.

The key responsibilities:
• Conducting Court Appearances in the Magistrate Court, Industrial Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.
• Assist with preparation of various risk assessments regarding issues with property title, mortgage bonds, servitudes, the validity of contracts and restrictive conditions;
• Drafting and preparing Anti Money Laundering compliance documentation and as well as Data Protection;
• Draft and review Contracts ranging from services agreements to employment contracts;
• Assessing FIDIC Contracts disputes and preparing or defending claims through Aritration;
• Competition Law;
• Cross-Border Transactions;
• Intellectual Property & Law

The Applicant must possess;
• An LLB from a recognized tertiary institution;
• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience;
• Admission to practice as an Attorney of the High Court opf Botswana;
• The ability to work proactively, independently and collaboratively;
• Good written and verbal communicative skills;
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook;
