• INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR

These positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland, therefore, you must still enjoy getting out on site and have the enthusiasm and interest to work in a remote location and in a multicultural work environment. Only Botswana citizens may apply.

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

The purpose of the role is to manage Khoemacau Copper Mining’s cloud environments
(AWS, Azure, Office 365) and provide general IT support to ensure smooth operation, generating reports on the performance of the system, security, and compliance as well
as to maintain the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for:
• Designing, deploying, and maintaining AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS, VPC, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and other AWS services.
• Implementing and managing scalable, high-availability solutions in the AWS environment.
• Monitoring and optimising AWS resources to ensure costeffectiveness and performance.
• Administering Microsoft Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Implementing and maintaining security best practices and policies for AWS, Azure and O365 environments.
• Conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Developing and testing recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of failures.
• Implementing monitoring tools and creating alerts for system health and resource utilization.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, regulations and legal requirements
• Ensuring compliance with Safe Work Procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
• Degree in Information technology/ Computer Science or any other relevant information
• Relevant certifications in AWS is a requirement e.g. AWS Certified Practitioner, AWS Certified Architect Associate and AWS Certified Sys Ops Administrator
• Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are an added advantage.
• The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of six (6) years of experience post qualification within an IT environment.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with expertise in AWS and O365 administration. Azure experience and certification is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 administration, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Solid understanding of IT security, compliance, and data protection.
