Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor premium debtor accounts
• Follow up on overdue invoices and payments and implement company procedures as necessary
• Forwarding of monthly statements to clients to keep them updated on premium debt repayment activities
• Reporting statements and reports for the account company
• Verify that all policies issued comply with set credit terms
• Flag non-compliant accounts and recommend corrective action
• Preserve client and broker statements on time
• Establish strong working relationships with brokers, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders
• Escalate unresolved issues to management promptly for quick resolution
• Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure proper management of premiums debt
• Attending to queries on the phone or in person
• Responding to both verbal and written feedback with regards to their accounts
• Ensure all credit control activities comply with regulatory and internal audit requirements
• Provide documentation and reports required for external audits
• Conduct business operations in compliance with standard policies and regulation

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in credit control, preferably within general insurance or financial services
• COP in short-term insurance is an added advantage
• Strong understanding of insurance premium billing, collection processes, and brokerage structures
