• CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR

We are looking for suitably qualified, highly motivated, talented, innovative, hands on, dynamic team players capable of working both collaboratively and independently with a high level of integrity, strong commitment and desire to deliver operational excellence through Zero Harm. These positions are based at the Mine Site located between Maun and Sehithwa in Ngamiland, therefore, you must still enjoy getting out on site and have the enthusiasm and interest to work in a remote location and in a multicultural work environment. Only Botswana citizens may apply.

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

The role is responsible for executing the contract administration process and
coordinating all interfaces within a project and the company. The candidate must ensure process integrity, provide commercial experience and insight, and protect the company
against risk exposure.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for;
• Maintaining compliance to all contracts.
• Ensuring understanding and management of contracts.
• Supporting the negotiations of claims, variations, changes, and disputes with contractors in collaboration with Project Management, Legal Department and others as required.
• Ensuring communication of changes to contracts to all key stakeholders.
• Ensuring that stakeholders understand and utilize contracts.
• Ensuring Contractor’s contract administration and subcontracting procedures and processes meet contract requirements.
• Developing and administering contracts and procurement compliance plans.
• Ensuring communications between Company and contractors are consistent with terms and conditions in agreements.
• Making follow ups on contractual items on a regular basis.
• Interfacing with internal departments and external vendors on matters such as cost, performance, progress assessment, payments, reporting, trends, and change orders.
• Acting as a liaison and coordinator amongst key stakeholders.
• Submitting contract(s) performance reports on a regular basis.
• Facilitating Post Tender Negotiation designed to allow for continuous improvement.
• Supplying Key Performance Management that delivers additional stakeholder value for the company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
•Degree in contracts management, business administration, law, accounting, or economics.
• Certified engineer (Mechanical; Metallurgy or Electrical) preferred.
• CIPS Level 4 (or above) preferred.
• 5+ years prior experience in a contract administration role or a related field.
• Knowledge of contract law, accounting principles and finance.
• Proficient knowledge of legal requirements pertaining to relevant contracts.
• An expert level understanding and use of MS Office tools.
