Applications are invited from suitably and self-motivated, energetic, dynamic, confident, results driven and innovative qualified persons for the below post tenable at Makoro Brick & Tile Plant in Palapye.

BOILERMAKER x 3

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To assist with Fabricating, welding of plant components.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Measures, fabricate and assembles parts and welds non-critical items.
• Study blueprints to determine locations, relationships or dimensions of parts.
• Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts i.e„ safety valves/ regulators using torches, jacks, power saws, welding equipment etc.
• Weld and fabricate metal components.
• Layout plate, steel sheets, or other heavy metal and locate and mark bending and cutting lines using protractors, compasses and drawing instruments or templates.
• Straighten or reshape bent pressure vessel plates or structure parts, using hammers, jacks or torches.
• Install refractory bricks or other beat-resistant materials in fireboxes of pressure vessels.
• Assist with housekeeping in area of responsibility.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
• O-level certificate plus NCC in Welding and fabrication or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in a mining industry
