Job Description

Northern Textile Mills is hiring Artisan Mechanics in Francistown to maintain, service, repair, and troubleshoot plant machinery and mechanical equipment.

Job Purpose

To maintain, service, repair and troubleshoot plant machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure reliable and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns.
• Conduct routine inspections and servicing of equipment.
• Respond promptly to major machine breakdowns.
• Replace worn or damaged mechanical components.
• Assist with machinery installation and commissioning.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Follow health, safety and company procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• National Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Trade/Mechanical Engineering.
• Recognised Artisan/Trade Test Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing machinery maintenance.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work rotational shifts.
