AML Analyst (x2 Positions) – Access Bank

  • AML Analyst *2 (24 Months Fixed Term Contract) Gaborone

Main Purpose
To provide direction required to ensure that there is adequate Conduct & Compliance oversight on the Financial Crimes Monitoring and Reporting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
♦ Managing and clearing suspicious transactions/activity alerts from the transactions surveillance system and staff escalations
♦ Carrying out KYC reviews a s may be required
♦ Review of Sanctions. PEP/PIP alerts as generated by the bank’s control systems
♦ Rendition of regulatory reports to the regulatory authorities as applicable
♦ Conduct and oversee AML/CFT risk assessment on new products, services, customer relationships, etc.
♦ Managing requests from Law Enforcement Agencies and regulatory authorities and ensuring timeous submission a s required
♦ Training of staff on AML/CFT
♦ Internal reporting within the approved SLAs.
♦ Monitoring changes to the AML/CFT requirements and ensuring timeous update to the bank’s policies and control processes
♦ Revie wing of correspondent banking relationships to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements.
♦ Ensuring that sufficient controls are in place and staff knowledge on the controls for management of high-risk relationships is adequate.

Qualifications and Experience
♦ Bachelor’s Degree in any Business-related qualification.
♦ A recognised professional Compliance certification will be an added advantage
♦ This is an entry level post experience is not a pre-requisite but an added advantage
