Our client in the Mining Industry is looking for self-motivated professional committed to providing high level integrity and consistent accountability within an exciting environment. We invite a suitably qualified candidate to the following position vacancy;

ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN 

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The position exists to provide cost effective accounting and financial reporting services in the organisation in line with the generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and other statutory requirements

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Performing administrative tasks such as arranging payroll and administering payments for invoices.
  • Book-keeping tasks.
  • Assists in preparation of annual budgets covering all departments.
  • Operating software packages to record and retrieve information, particularly spreadsheets.
  • Monitoring company/department financial transactions and controlling budgets.
  • Ensures appropriate cash flow planning and management.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Making sure the organization is compliant with current taxation legislation.
  • Assists during accounts inspections (audits)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any related field.
  • 3 Years of Experience
