Location: Gaborone, Botswana

Contract Type: 3 Years Fixed Term Contract.

Internal Audit Manager

Reporting Line: CEO and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee

This role is responsible for providing independent and objective advisory services to the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board in order to support the Hub’s risk management while strengthening internal controls and compliance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead internal audit engagements including planning, reporting and follow-up.
  • Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit framework and plan.
  • Participate in governance, risk and compliance committees to provide advisory services.
  • Prepare reports on audit activities including findings and recommendations.
  • Conduct independent assessments of internal controls.
  • Lead special investigations as requested by the Board or senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Auditing or Finance.
  • Master’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT or CISSP are an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) years in audit, including three years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience supervising and working with audit teams.
  • Active membership to professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or similar.
