Temporary Officer, Card Operations – Botswana Savings Bank

Key Responsibilities:

Card & Merchant Settlement Processing

• Processing of daily card settlement and ensuring funds are correctly posted in general Ledgers.
• Processing of Merchant settlement to merchant’s account
• Monitor settlement accounts.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly settlement reports.
• Ensure compliance with central bank and internal regulations.
• Resolving escalated card-related complaints

Card Stock Management

• Monitoring branch stock levels of cards and ensuring there is adequate stock
• Order cards and ensure dispatches are done timely
• Process card vendor payments on time.
• Laise with card vendors on card stock related issues

Transaction Monitoring & Disputes Resolution

• Reviewing daily card transactions
• Investigating failed or suspicious transactions
• Managing customer disputes (unauthorized transactions, duplicate charges, etc.)
• Monitoring fraud alerts
• Processing chargebacks according to card network rules

Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in: Business Management, Finance & Banking, Accounting or Related field.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in card operations, card processing, or payment systems management.
• Experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly desirable.
