Our Client in the catering industry is looking for an experienced SHEC Officer to join their Team.

Job Details:

  • Identify and assess hazards, risks and control measures for a specific operation or process.
  • Conduct ongoing review of operations and processes to identify potential hazards, risks and control measures that should be implemented to reduce these risks, including all costs involved in implementing such measures.
  • Assess and document hazards, risks, and controls in a manner consistent with established procedures and practices.
  • Set up and supervising temporary work areas.
  • Supervise the safe handling, storage & disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Improve workplace safety and employee productivity by transitioning from manual safety procedures to digital safety management systems.
  • Ensure that all company employees meet all occupational safety health administration requirements.
  • Provide Occupational Safety Health Administration training if necessary.
  • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies are followed.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and injuries and refer them to the proper authorities.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree – Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Sciences or Equivalent.
  • 3 years’ post qualification experience in Safety, Health, and Environment
  • First Aid Certificate will be an added advantage.
  • Safety and Risk Management
  • Aware of Environmental Management systems
  • Be able to carry out environmental Training and Awareness.
  • Occupational Hygiene

General Conditions:

  • Shift Rotation
  • 4 day Off rotations
  • 24 month contract
  • Salary negotiable.
  • Remote Location
  • Onsite accommodation and meals whilst on shift.
