RESOURCE COMPLIANCE MANAGER (x1)

Wepex Geotechnical (Pty) Ltd provides vast range of geotechnical solutions in the civil engineering, construction and mining industries in SADC. Wepex Geotechnical is seeking to expand the business into exploration and mining mineral resources owned by the company.

The role of Resource Compliance Manager will be tasked with developing the new division of the business. As Resource Compliance Manager, you will be required to ensure the organization adheres to public reporting standards, environmental regulations, and ESG compliance.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate work experience throughout the mineral resource value chain. Project generation and identification, geological exploration and mine planning will form part of the day-to-day activities and tasks to be completed. During all the stages of exploration, all data generated has to be compliant with public reporting

Key Performance Areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify new mineral resource projects which has sufficient merit to grant exploration within
• Botswana.
• Construct and execute exploration programs. This will include the management of budget, subcontractors, ensure the exploration is conducted within a set timeframe.
• Geological analysis, resource modeling and reserve estimation.
• Compliance oversight: conduct regular internal audits to ensure all information and data generated are compliant with reporting standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate with governmental bodies, local communities, and industry stakeholders to foster positive relationships and address compliance- related concerns.

Experience & Required Qualifications

• Qualification in Geostatic analysis of mineral reserves.
• Graduate in Geology or similar discipline.
• Qualification in Geographic Information Systems
• Minimum 2 ears’ experience in Geology or similar role
