Job Description

ARONA NATURAL FOODS, (PTY) Ltd is a 100% citizen owned Botswana Manufacturer of Sunflower Cooking Oil, and also produces Bread and Confectionaries for international franchises.
We are looking for a suitably qualified, dynamic individual to join our team for the role of:

QUALITY CONTROLLER

Main Purpose:
To ensure that all products that are produced in the Company consistently conform to industry requirements, company expectations, and consumer expectations; with the ultimate goal of minimizing cost and maximizing efficiency to maintain customer loyalty and the company’s overall reputation.

The incumbent will be responsible for the following Key Performance Attributes:
• Manage quality assurance needs and budgets for the quality unit requirements.
• Coordinate sampling plans and analysis, and provide reliable test results.
• Examine food samples to determine chemical, physical and microbiological properties.
• Compiling, recording, maintaining and interpret process deficiencies and apply corrective actions.
• Receive, investigate and give feedback on customer complaints to stakeholders.
• Coordinate shelf life analysis and daily age profiling.
• Ensure equipment calibration, validation and compliance.
• Manage HACCP and other regulatory frameworks and take related initiatives to ensure compliance.
• Monitor operations to ensure their alignment with production standards.
• Reject and accept finalised products as and when required.
• Develop quality control processes, tools, procedures, plans for production work flow.
• Manage all quality and food safety audits.

Requirements:
Qualification: Minimum Diploma in Food Sciences, Nutrition, or related.
Experience: 4 years’ relevant post qualification in a similar business environment. Arona Natural Foods (Pty) Ltd offers a competitive remuneration commensurate with position.
