*Position Title: Public Relations Officer

Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Awareness and Communications Manager, the main purpose of the job is to implement public relations initiatives, communications campaigns and brand management policies/programs and to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement communication campaigns to grow brand visibility, increase product uptake and build relations with key stakeholders.
• Create content for social media, website, newsletters, mass media and other communication platforms.
• Track media coverage, prepare and distribute press releases and maintain strong relations with media partners.
• Liaise with Consultants, Media and internal resources for the promotion and delivery of the Authority’s projects.
• Assist with planning, scheduling, and organizing corporate events and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Plan outreaches to raise awareness on the Authority’s mandate.
• Support the Authority’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Conduct research to monitor the effectiveness of communication campaigns.
• Production of promotional material, annual reports and branding material.

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge Required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Public Relations.
• At least 3 years post qualification experience in Public Relations.
