DESCRIPTION
The Botswana Defence Force is looking forward to employ suitably qualified Non-Uniformed Personnel for the following positions:
PHYSIOTHERAPIST I C1 X2 – TENABLE AT SSKB AND 2 BRIGADE GROUP
Qualifications: Experience: Salary scale: Leave: Certification: Benefits:
Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy or Physical therapy from an accredited University
Four (4) years’ relevant work experience, two (2) years of which should have been served as Physiotherapist II at C2 salary scale. C1 (P174,672– P207,792)
30 working days per annum
Must be registered with Botswana Health Professions Council
Optional Contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% while Employee pays 50%)
Contributory Pension Scheme (Government pays 15% while Employee pays 5%) d.
c. Scarce Skill Allowance of 15% of basic monthly salary Housing and Upkeep Allowance of P309.00 per month
Job purpose: Monitor the provision of evidence-based physiotherapy practice and rehabilitation in the BDF
Job Duties and Responsibilities
a. Recommend the Installation of Mechanical aids and modification of physical barriers to patients in the BDF.
b. Rehabilitate patients through the use of manual therapy, electro-physical modalities and exercises c. Conduct assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of referred patients.
d. Assist Junior staff with complex cases.
e. Train caregivers on the home programs.
f. Update Junior colleagues about the latest development within physiotherapy through a literature review.
