VACANCY: PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
POSITIONS: 450
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above temporary positions in the Ministry of Health, Department of Health Service Management, tenable at various health facilities in the Republic of Botswana.
SALARY: C4/3 (P103, 272.00 – P143, 664.00 per annum)
BENEFITS:
a) Scarce skill allowance paid at 30% of basic salary.
b) Paramedics allowance at 15% of basic salary.
LEAVE: 25 working days per annum
QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or equivalent.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To perform functions of pharmaceutical services.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Interprets analyses prescriptions and dispenses medicines.
- Participates in drafting and implementing standard operating procedures (SOP) for delivery of pharmaceutical services and patient care.
- Compiles records on expired medicines, samples, chemicals, re-agents, related substances and tested samples for safe disposal.
- Participates in Health Talks (Departmental presentations).
- Undertakes continuous professional Development.
- Attends workshops.
- Receives samples of medicines and related substances.
