Choppies Distribution Centre (Pty) limited is looking for the following professional;

Operations Manager-Department of Plumbing, Refrigeration and Electrical

To oversee overall operations and will be responsible for the effective and successful management of maintenance, repairs and upkeep of company’s machinery and equipment’s.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recommend strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
• Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management and shipping.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Train local employees and up skill them.

• Leadership /good communication skills.
• Conflict Management skills.
• Business Negotiation skills.
• Good decision-Making skills.
• Must be a good team player.

Qualifications & experience
• A Degree in Electrical engineering or its equivalent.
• A minimum of 4 years of work experience in the same filed is required.
• An accounting background will be an added advantage.
• Must be registered with Botswana Engineers Registration Board (ERB).
• Knowledge of working on variable frequency drives in one of the existing points.
