Job Description

  • upervise storage, issuing, receiving, stocktaking and disposal of materials.
  • Manage daily parts dispensation and replacement.
  • Assist in processing weekly stock order and compile stock control reports.
  • Stock replenishment and management of stock.
  • Ensuring that the section maintains a safety record commensurate with the organisation’s standards and policies.
  • Conduct market research and report on movements in price and changes in terms being offered.
  • Expedite all orders within required limits.
  • Manage supplier relationships including quality and supply issues, improving supplier performance and building successful supply chain partnerships.
  • Ensure good housekeeping.
  • Analyse internal purchasing processes and suggest improvements to ensure continuity of the department’s performance.

Job Requirements

  • CIPS level 3 or Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management or equivalent.
  • 4 years working experience preferably in a mining environment
  • High levels of communication and sound interpersonal skills.
