JOB SUMMARY
To support the development and success of the Marketing function of BotswanaPost. We are searching for a marketing officer with a knack for communicating and a flair for strategizing and implementing marketing campaigns. Marketing officer is required to contribute to existing marketing, branding and advertising plans,while assisting with the development of fresh initiatives in line with the company’s goals. The incumbent also takes responsibility for specific projects within the Unit; and to assist with the implementation of the Unit’s policies, processes and procedures.
The position directly reports to the Marketing Manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all assigned Marketing campaigns for products and services are completed in accordance with agreed timelines and scope and in unison with other departments, thereby enhancing positive relationships with Marketing & Communications and all internal stakeholders.
• Ensure that the branding strategy guidelines in all communications are adhered to, to enhance the  image of BotswanaPost.
• Coordinate brand audits to identify brand image inadequacies and initiatives to improve BotswanaPost’s image.
• Provide regular reports on promotions or any information necessary to assist with the compilation of reports for BotswanaPost Board, Senior Management meetings and other BotswanaPost departments as required.
• Enhance BotswanaPost image by ensuring up-to-date information on the website.
• Supply sufficient information to the Marketing Manager to enable effective budgetary control of specific areas of activity.
• Research and analyse data to identify and define audiences
• Plans, implements marketing, and public relations campaigns, both internal and external, to promote activities of the organisation
• Assists to identify and develop new market segments & targets as well as new products
• Ensure that all events’ preparations and coordination are completed in accordance within agreed timelines and scope
• To ensure implementation of the Marketing strategy with specific objectives and targets as agreed.
• Organizing and distributing financial and statistical information.
• Manage and develop marketing campaigns as agreed with the Marketing Manager i.e. specific campaign and promotional events such as Consumer Fair.
• To supply spending reports on a quarterly basis to allow overall departmental reports to be prepared.
• To Ensure that website information update is regularly provided to promote BotswanaPost and its products
• Liaises with the web development and design service provider(s) and IT team in the monitoring and marketing of the website.

Qualifications
• A Degree in Marketing/Communications or related.

Experience
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Marketing/Public Relations in a business-related environment. Multiple media communications skills, report writing and editing skills, networking and collaboration skills
