Managing Director – Desert Delta and Safaris
Job Description
Desert & Delta Safaris Proprietary Limited, a subsidiary of Chobe Holdings Limited, is looking for an outstanding candidate to drive organizational success as Managing Director. As Managing Director, you will develop and implement the company’s strategic plans and company policies and oversee the implementation of these.
Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with Master’s Degree in the same being advantageous. Additional ternary qualification in hotel and tourism management, as well as advanced accounting qualifications (Chartered Accountant).
Requirements:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior managerial position within the tourism and hospitality industry.
- Must have business management experience.
- International experience would be advantageous.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Must have significant experience in finance and budgeting.
- Proven leadership in hospitality environments preferably lodges.
- Knowledge and experience of financial modeling.
- Knowledge and experience of risk management.
Duties:
Develop and execute the company’s business strategies, provide strategic advice and view of company’s future to the board of Directors and shareholders. Design and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effecbve operations and market development activities. Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures. Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated in all levels of the business. Maintain and communicate trust relationships with all stakeholders including Government authorities. Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company growth. Manage and lead the company in all facets with unwavering dedication and integrity.
