Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive and senior management to identify organisational property needs and facilitate the cost-effective acquisition and maintenance of said facilities.
  • Advise on property acquisition strategies including leasing, buying, building, co-location, joint ventures with third party agents (e.g. BotsPost) to develop the most cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop short, medium, and long-term plans to cost-effectively ensure the availability of premises to support the organisation’s activities.
  • Ensure that the organisation’s facilities – both those owned by and leased by the organisation – are fit for purpose.
  • Manage all premises used by the organisation and ensure that they are appropriately maintained and cleaned.
  • Negotiate with service providers for the provision of property maintenance, cleaning and letting.
  • Negotiate and implement SLAs with facilities management and maintenance contractors.
  • Negotiate SLAs with security companies to ensure that the bank and its activities are always protected with physical, electronic and intelligence security measures.
  • Establish procedures for ensuring security of the bank’s assets and premises.
  • Establish procedures and guidelines to protect all persons while they are on the organisation’s premises.
  • Monitor compliance with all facilities-related and security SLAs to ensure compliance.
  • Manage the organisation’s maintenance budget to optimise value for money.
  • Identify and exploit opportunities to maximise return on surplus property and premises.

 

 

Requirements

Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Business, Strategic Management, Administration or related area
  • Certification or a Master’s Degree in Project Management from an accredited project management institution is an added advantage.
  • Applicants should have registered with relevant recognized & professional regulatory body.

 

Experience:

 

  • Five (5) years’ of relevant experience in facilities management for a large organisation including two (2) years of experience at supervisory level.
  • Must have exceptional administrative and managerial abilities and demonstrable knowledge of facilities management and Project Management processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrable experience of security management is essential.
