Job Description
Engen Marketing Botswana (Pty) Ltd is seeking to fill the following position: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT – GABORONE
Purpose
To effectively manage the management accounting, credit and business planning functions preparing meaningful management accounts & analysis, manage the credit function & accountable in conjunction with group credit for credit assessment, collection and credit risk management processes in line with credit policy and provide effective business support and insight to the business departments thereby reducing risk, enhancing overall profitability for Engen, contributing to operational efficiency and to ensure availability of key and adequate information for management to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- To effectively manage the management accounting, credit and business planning functions preparing meaningful management accounts & analysis
- Manage the credit function & accountable in conjunction with group credit for credit assessment, collection and credit risk management processes in line with credit policy
- Provide effective business support and insight to the business departments thereby reducing risk, enhancing overall profitability for Engen, contributing to operational efficiency
- Ensure availability of key and adequate information for management to make informed decisions
Requirements
- Fully qualified ACCA or CIMA
- Degree in Accounting with Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Tax & Auditing
- Member or Registered with Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA)
- 5 years Accounting experience
- Knowledge of Costing & Management Accounting principles & practices
- Knowledge of Credit Risk Management principles
- Supervisory experience
- Experience in petroleum industry is an added advantage
