Machinist / Line Borer – UV Botswana

Job Description

A Francistown based Engineering Company requires the services of a skilled Machinist: LINE BORER.  The applicant should have the following qualification and experience.

– Measuring and setting up specific jobs

– Machining to strict tolerances.

– Must be able to work to a high degree of accuracy.

– Reading and interpreting Engineering drawings

– Finishing each job to an extremely high standard

– Ability to work individually or with others

– High level of initiative

Skills and experience

• Must have passed a recognized apprenticeship (City and Guilds or equivalent). Must be a fully qualified fitter/machinist
• At least 5 years post apprentice experience
• Must demonstrate their ability to operate milling machines, lathes and radial arm drill
• Previous line boring experience with references
