LIFE MANAGER – RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING
We are looking for a highly qualified, competent and experienced person to fill the above-cited position, based at our Gaborone office. Incumbent should have extensive knowledge of long term insurance broking, recruitment of insurance agents and training of both new and experienced agents to ensure the agency team is well knowledgeable of current trends on the market and be able to write new significant business at all times.
Number of position(s) to be filled – Two (Gaborone and Francistown)

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Job entails:

⦁ Recruitment – the incumbent should be able to identify and attract individuals with the right aptitude and qualifications to join the Company as new life insurance agents.
⦁ Staff retention – Given the high staff turnover in the insurance sector for the agents since the agents’ are paid based on commission, the incumbent must be able to attract people who are more likely to succeed in this highly competitive environment and be able to retain them.
⦁ Training – the incumbent should be able to identify, on an on-going basis, the training needs of both new and existing agents and design and implement training programs to capacitate the team.
⦁ Training material – The incumbent should be able to research and prepare training materials that are relevant and capture all current developments to do with both our underwriters, regulators and the Laws of the nation that interact with our workflow.

Qualifications and experience

Incumbent should ideally be qualified to a Diploma level in Business Management or equivalent & should possess a sales, marketing or insurance related qualification at diploma level with a minimum of five years relevant experience, preferably insurance life management.
The candidate should possess a Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in long term insurance.
