The Liaison Officer role focuses on community development, stakeholder engagement and communication between the Trust, communities, donors, partners and government institutions. This is suitable for candidates with project management or social sciences qualifications and experience in community-focused work.

Main Duties – Liaison Officer

  • Act as the primary link between Paleka Community Trust, community members, partners, donors and government institutions.
  • Facilitate communication, cooperation and information sharing among all project stakeholders.
  • Support planning, implementation and coordination of Trust-funded and donor-funded projects.
  • Mobilise community members to participate in project and development activities.
  • Organise and facilitate community meetings, workshops and consultations.
  • Ensure community needs, feedback and concerns are communicated to the Trust and project partners.

Requirements – Liaison Officer

  • Botswana citizen from Paleka communities.
  • Diploma or Degree in Project Management, Community Development, Social Sciences, Public Administration or related field.
  • 2–3 years’ experience in community development; NGO experience in Botswana is an added advantage.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
