Humana People to People Botswana is inviting suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for the following positions:

– Human Resource Officer – Payroll x1

Job Summary
The Payroll Officer’s role is to support the Head of HR with the salary, tax and national insurance calculation and filing. They will work closely with HR and Finance to ensure tax & national insurance obligations are met. In addition, the role holder will assist with other HR matters as required.

Key Performance Areas:
📌Preparing and processing of staff salaries, workers compensations and any other statutory obligations
📌Reporting on payroll expenses, tax deductions, insurance, compensation, and benefits Handing out payslips to employees monthly.
📌Responding to employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
📌Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations
📌Maintain the staff advances schedules
📌 Ensure timely submission and payment of statutory obligations and medical aid
📌Maintain employee’s master files in the company’s payroll software.
📌Maintain leave records and monthly timesheets
📌Coordinate employee wellness and welfare programs
📌Preparing and assisting in recruitment process of new employees, and give advice on employee’s benefits
📌Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Key Requirements
🖊️Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
🖊️Knowledge on Pastel Payroll systems, Microsoft Office Functions with Advanced MS Excel, and other HR systems
🖊️Knowledge of Botswana Labour Laws governing the administration of Payroll
🖊️Knowledge of Botswana Income Tax Act governing the administration of Payroll
🖊️Good interpersonal skills
🖊️Excellent communication skills
🖊️Attention to detail
🖊️Ability to work under pressure
🖊️Deadline driven
At least a minimum of 3 years’ experience as in Human Resource as a Payroll Officer, with background on NGOs experience.
