Key Responsibilities

Business Planning and Financial Reporting

  • Develop annual Business Plans and budgets, financial forecasting
  • Business proposals preparations
  • Scenario planning and general cost management
  • Financial evaluation and modeling

Management and Development of Accounting Management Teams

  • Develop KPIs for key managerial staff
  • Provide advice and support to accounting managers, project implementation teams
  • Provide individual performance and project implementation reviews, and project implementation learnings

Human Resources Management and Administration

  • Identify legal requirements and governing reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting systems are maintained.
  • Lead the team through the regular payroll process to ensure accuracy and payment on time.
  • Oversee the team responsible for preparing and proposing the annual HR budget of salary and benefits money and monitor and monitor, analyse and report projected expenditure to the Board.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating and recommending human resource policies and procedures and provide ongoing employee support on policies, procedures and programs.

Requirements

Chartered accountant, with a minimum of eighteen (18) years professional experience, with exposure to the mining industry. Candidate must have proven managerial capabilities, and have an enterprising outlook. Experience working in an audit environment will be an added advantage. Candidate should have proven ability in undertaking due diligence for potential acquisitions and identifying appropriate financing structures for such acquisitions.
