Applications are invited from suitably and self-motivated, energetic and innovative qualified persons for the below post tenable at Makoro Brick in Palapye.
EXTRA HEAVY-DUTY DRIVER x8

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To carry out cross border driving duties on company trucks transporting various materials / goods in a safe and timely manner throughout SADC Region.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
•Classes of license C, EB, EC 1, EC and PROP’S
•0 level (Cambridge) or equivalent
•Driving manual Mercedes Power Liner
•5 years Extra Heavy Duty experience in all geographical areas essential
•Knowledge of cross boarder documentation
•Able to communicate in English and any other official SADC language

MAIN DUTIES
•Ensures that there is efficient transportation of the products to the customer.
•Ensures that products are delivered in specified location on time and in a safe manner.
•Responsible for the proper loading of the truck and ensuring that bricks are secured to prevent movements.
•Ensures that overall wellbeing of the vehicle is maintained.
•Ensures that all the documentation is attached to trip sheet and that all deliveries are done as per tnp sheet
•Ensures that all discrepancies related to the deliveries are reported to the supervisor immediately and also recorded in the fault book.
•All daily checks or prestart checks are done on the vehicle without fail using the checklist
•Performs vehicle inspection of the truck after every trip and report and deviations to workshop for attention.
