ELECTRICAL ARTISAN ASSISTANT (X1)-MORUPULE
 In its pursuit to become a Competitive Commercial Power Utility within the Region, Botswana Power Corporation invites applications from suitably qualified, highly energetic, dynamic, result oriented, innovative, and customer focused individuals, who believe they can be part of a great team that delivers power to Botswana to apply for the below listed position not later than 01 January 2024.
Main purpose of the position
To provide support during skilled electrical maintenance activities and perform specific semi-skilled maintenance and installations in accordance with maintenance procedures and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform Semi-skilled Installation and maintenance (i.e., Battery maintenance, Lighting, Sockets & Appliances) in accordance with standard maintenance procedures to ensure safety and plant availability.
- Carry out skilled electrical maintenance and departmental activities under supervision to improve efficiency and safety of electrical maintenance processes.
- Operate various machines such as Sky Jack, Bulb Crusher in performing their duties, according to set standards and procedures for plant efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to quality standards to reduce plant downtime and improve reliability.
- Carry out housekeeping activities on electrical equipment and enclosures to improve plant equipment performance and safety.
- Operate in accordance with policies and procedures, while performing routine safety checks on equipment and workspace to achieve SHER Objectives.
Qualifications
- BGCSE + Trade Test B in Electrical Installation
- Driver’s License Class B
- Competent Person within 6months of engagement
