Job Description
Stepping Stones International wishes to invite suitable candidates to apply for the following vacant position:
JOB TITLE: District Manager
REPORTING TO: Program Director
LOCATION: Mochudi – Kgatleng District
The District Manager (DM) will be responsible for the daily coordination and administration of program implementation. The DM will lead a high performing team and build staff capacity. They will nurture and build relationship with stakeholders and partners in the district such as government, private sector, other NGO’s and community leaders. They will develop and manage program scope, budgets and timelines to ensure all deliverables are met, including outputs and objectives. The DM will identify new, innovative strategies to implement programs.
They will compile high quality quarterly and annual reports to be disseminated among stakeholders and donors. The DM will evaluate and monitor program activities to ensure incorporation of lessons learned into ongoing activity tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or health management or any related field. A Master’s degree in any of the above disciplines would be preferable.
- Minimum of three ears of international development experience.
- Previous work experience with PEPFAR or other donor organizations, and Ministry of Health/Education in HIV and AIDS related fields.
- Leadership qualities: emotionally intelligent, organized, strategic, professional.
- Proven ability to work closely with donors, stakeholders and the community.
- Ability to interact with people from various cultures and backgrounds.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
