Job Description

VACANCY 
A vacancy has arisen in the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 for the position of Digital Marketing Officer. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the post based at the AUSC Region 5 Head Office in Gaborone, Botswana.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: –
1. Creating visual designs for print and digital media.
2. Designing brand look and feel to ensure branding consistency.
3. Using design software to produce visually appealing brand collateral designs.
4. Creating visual elements like logos and illustrations.
5. Revising designs based on Region 5 corporate identity.
6. Translating office branding strategies into design strategies.
7. Selecting colors, fonts, photographs, layouts and other design elements to communicate creative concepts that enhance Region 5 brand appeal.
8. Develop and manage digital Image and communication systems.
9. Manage corporate digital space presence.
10. Align all Region 5 communication tools towards brand consistency and visibility.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Reporting to the Marketing and Business Development Manager, the incumbent must meet the following attributes.
• University Degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design. Qualifications in visual communications will be an added advantage.
• Computerized sketching abilities
• Creative, innovative and analytic thinker
• Sharp Communication skills
• In-depth understanding of audience targeting
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Corel Graphics Suite, or Paint shop Pro.
• Three (3) years’ experience in the IT industry. Knowledge of and exposure to the sporting environment is an added advantage.
• Clean driver’s license. A Defensive Driving certificate will be an added advantage.
• Self-motivated – ability to manage with minimum of supervision.
