Salary Scale: F2 (607 440) per annum

Leave: 30 working days per annum

Benefits:

Optional contributory medical aid scheme with the Botswana Public Officers’ Medical Aid Scheme (BPOMAS) (Government pays 50% and employee pays 50%). Government will also contribute 50% of the medical aid cover for individuals who are already members of a different Medical Aid Scheme other than the BPOMAS. A contract of 24 to 36 months, with a gratuity of 30% payable upon expiry of contract.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum of eighteen (18) years’ relevant experience, two (2) years of which should have been at a managerial level.

Must have extensive knowledge of civil service structures, rules and regulations.

Main purpose of the Job:

To provide strategic leadership in the management and coordination of Corporate services functions in the ministry

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Interprets corporate services policy and advises the Permanent Secretary on Policy issues.
  2. Translates the ministry vision into clear, compelling and challenging programmes.
  3. Reports all pertinent matters on corporate services to the Permanent Secretary.
  4. Coordinates management of financial, human and physical resources to meet strategic organisational and customer needs and to maintain sustained products and/or service delivery.
  5. Develops and coordinates implementation of risk management strategies and plans to achieve organisational objectives.
  6. Assesses personal knowledge and skills against job specific competencies to identify development needs and priorities.
  7. Undertakes any other related duties as required to meet the exigencies of the service.
