COMMERCIAL LITIGATION LAWYER

You will need at least two years experience in dispute resolution. Must possess strong legal drafting skills, the ability to: facilitate settlement negotiations between parties; instruct counsel; liaise with counsel and clients directly; work as part of a team and independently; and work well under pressure. Experience in both actions and applications before courts is a necessity. Must have experience in arbitrations and mediations between companies as well as individuals. Must be able to work with international clients and therefore be fluent in at least one European language apart from English. You must be admitted to practice as an attorney in the Courts of the Republic of Botswana, or South Africa. You will be at an advantage if you have a commercial background in addition to your legal background and if you have worked at a global law firm.
