As part of its growth strategy, the bank is looking for an experienced candidate with suitable technical competencies to take up the following opportunity:
– Cards and Settlement Manager
Responsible for the smooth running of the department and ensure there are no regulatory breaches and control lapses when processing transactions. Ensure transactions are authorized timely to avoid late settlement of transactions that could lead to interest claims and damage the banks reputation and regulatory fines.
Key Responsibilities
♦ Accurate, timely processing of local and international card transactions processing within agreed deadlines and international clearing and settlement rules.
♦ Ensure sufficient funds in the visa settlement account (Nostro) to allow timely funds transfer.
♦ Manage Visa Collateral and produce Quarterly MIS
♦ Daily suspense accounts monitoring and GL proofing.
♦ Perform consistent, accurate problem escalation processes, and update documentation and process as needed.
♦ Daily Management of Card Operations resources
♦ Oversight of local and international pre-paid, credit and debit card transactions processing within agreed deadlines and international clearing and Job Profiles settlement rules.
♦ Manage Card Stock inventory which included card plastics and
♦ Utilize investigative techniques to identify, research, resolve and follow-up on problems.
♦ Produce Monthly MIS report to the Management.
Qualifications and Experience
♦ A Degree in an)’ discipline from a recognized institution
♦ Minimum 7 years post qualification experience in the
Financial Services Industry, and 3 years must have been at management level.
