Reports to:         MANAGING DIRECTOR

The Business Development Assistance e assists the Managing Director to manage the business development activities for the company driving revenue generating activities, works to improve an organisation’s market position to achieve financial growth through the acquisition of new business. The role also entails assisting the MD to define long-term organisational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals as well as maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Assist with the development of strategic plans
  2. Manage the day-to-day business development activities of the company
  3. Delivery of training Programmes for the company when requested
  4. Works to improve the market share and positioning of the company
  5. Build key customer relationships
  6. Identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the expansion into new markets as well as continued expansion among existing
  2. Building relationships with existing clients in an attempt to increase their current
  3. Drive peak performance and sales success across the
  4. Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased
  5. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging networking
  6. Research and build relationships with new
  7. Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  1. Participate in pricing the solution/service.
  2. Keeping sales and marketing materials up to
  3. Propose the designing and developing of training programs based on industry
  4. Create brochures and marketing materials including multimedia visual aids and
  5. Plan the implementation and facilitation of sales and marketing activities, events and other resources to ensure that operations are managed within authorised

Educational Qualification:

Diploma In Marketing or equivalent. A bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of 1-year relevant experience is required with a proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business. Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry and illustrate knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry.
