Business Analyst – Information Technology

To manage and coordinate the bank’s projects from design to implementation and successfully deliver planned business change in line with the bank’s goals and objectives. The jobholder has responsibility for project definition, planning, monitoring and control. Identifying critical Issues, recommending & implementing solutions. To gather, understand and document detailed user data and information requirements. Create report, graphs and visualizations in easy-to-understand formats to support decision making. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect data and requirements from various business units, design workflow and provides solution to new ideas, trends and concept as well as document requirements for products, processes and systems
  • Secure and maintain business commitment/involvement from stakeholders and obtain feedback at all stages of the requirements gathering
  • Analyze feedback from stakeholders and determine way forward
  • Document business requirements in line with system capabilities for BU Head sign offs
  • Communicate documented business requirements (inclusive of risk assessment i.e. operational risk assessment, technology risk assessment and system architecture to Project Managers)
  • Monitor and manage deliverables implementation in line with the signed business requirements
  • Identify strategic and cross functional issues
  • Establish and manage appropriate project risk, opportunities, change and Issue management procedures
  • Ensure the impact of the project/product change on the operational and IT infrastructure is assessed and communicated
  • Manage compliance with Access Bank’s project practices and methodologies
  • Assist the Project Manager to convene & hold Project Definition Workshop (PDW)
  • Assist the Project Manager to agree budget with financial reviewer in liaison with CFO & Project Sponsor

Key requirements for this role

The candidate should have attained the following:

  • 5 years’ experience In Business Analysis. Data Analytics & Support.
  • Degree in computer engineering, business administration, or related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
