Applications arc invited from suitably qualified citizens of Botswana for the below position in the National AIDS and Health Promotion Agency (NAHPA).
ASSISTANT MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER – D2 (GLOBAL FUND PROJECT) Twelve (12) months contract

Qualification:

University Degree preferably in Public i Health. Statistics. Social sciences or related field. Post Graduate Diploma in M&E will be an added advantage.

Experience:

At least IO years post qualification of relevant experience, of which two should have been served at D3 salary scale or equivalent. Experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in development i projects implemented by national/international NGOs/ \ UN bodies/ Government. Designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports, i Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS i software using database software. Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software will be an added advantage.

Salary: D2 (P 320,952.00 – P 353,928.00)

Benefits: Gratuity at 30% of basic salary and 30 leave days per year.

Main Purpose of the Job:

The position is be i responsible for the monitoring and evaluation as well as i ensuring high quality and timely inputs, for the project. : maintenance of strategic vision and that its activities j result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner.

Main responsibilities:
1. Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures
Ability organizes and accurately completes multiple tasks
2. Monitor all project activities, expenditures and ? • progress towards achieving the project output
3. Develop logical frame work for the project
4. Develop monitoring and impact indicator for project success
5. Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results
6. Monitor the sustainability of the project’s results
7. Provide feedback to key stakeholders on project strategies and activities
8. Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks
9. Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the National Project Director/Project Manager
10. Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system
11. Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project
12. Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Project Management Team and Program Officers
13. Carry out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
