Summary

Reporting to the Team Leader – Mechanical, the position will be responsible for carrying out service, repair work and modifications on mechanical plant and equipment in line with the set engineering standards and requirements.

Description

The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:

• Complying with mechanical protocols and third-party requirements.
• Complying with SHEQ protocols for continuous improvements.
• Undertaking corrective action from SHEQ and QMS audits.
• Carrying out routine maintenance and service of mechanical plant and equipment and systems in line with engineering standards and in accordance with work schedule.
• Installing new equipments as directed by supervisor.
• Providing technical information for use on process band system modification.
• Testing equipments after service and repair work to confirm that equipment operates to specifications and certifies completion of work.
• Accounting for tools and materials after job completion.

Minimum Requirements

The right candidate will possesses the following minimum requirements:

• A National Craft Certificate in Fitting, Plumbing, Machining or Welding and Fabrication.
• At least two (2) years’ post apprenticeship experience in an engineering maintenance environment preferably in the manufacturing sector.
